Connor Feeds Twice as Winnipeg Pounds Vancouver 6-2
The Jets follow their Montreal comeback with an easy night at home, and Connor never needed a goal to matter.
Kyle Connor did not score, but he was on the ice for a lot of good things in Winnipeg's 6-2 win over Vancouver. He finished with two assists, a plus 2 rating and two shots on goal in 18:17 of ice time over 19 shifts.
Both assists came at even strength, and he had five shot attempts there. His ice time ranked fifth among the 18 Jets skaters and first among the team's 12 forwards, though it was not the team high.
It was a different kind of night for him. He has 13 goals in 17 games this season, so a game of setting up others rather than finishing is a departure. He also took two penalty minutes, had one hit and one giveaway.
The win gives the Jets, 5-8-3 and still in the wildcard chase, back-to-back victories after the Montreal comeback.
