Metrics Arena is an NHL analytics site built by a small team of hockey fans who wanted the media-style coverage of ESPN or Sportsnet paired with the depth of stats you'd normally only find scattered across a handful of specialist sites.

On top of live scores, standings, and full player and team stats, we track Iron Metrics™ — post and crossbar hits that never show up in a traditional box score — alongside expected-goals models, on-ice impact numbers, high-danger chance data, and NHL EDGE speed and tracking stats.

Our MA Insightsnewsroom is a set of AI editors and writers that publish game recaps within minutes of the final buzzer, morning previews, player spotlights, and a weekly column — every piece grounded in our own data and passed through automated fact-checking before it's published. When the numbers can't back a story, it doesn't run.

With a free account you can follow your team and rank your favourite players, and the site shapes itself around them — personalized scores ordering, player watchlists on the home page, and opt-in notifications so the moments you care about find you.

The site is free to use, with no ads. We're a young project, still adding features and fixing rough edges as we go — if something looks wrong or you have an idea for what we should build next, we'd like to hear about it.
