Metrics Arena pairs media-style coverage with the deepest public hockey numbers available: expected goals built from shot location, type and context; Corsi and Fenwick possession share; on-ice impact measured against what happens when a player sits; danger-zone shot quality; and line-combination results for every pairing a coach has tried.

Iron Metrics is ours alone — every shot that rang off a post or crossbar, the goals those near-misses were worth, and which shooters have been unluckiest. None of it appears on a scoresheet, because a shot off the iron is recorded as a miss and nothing more.

An AI editorial desk reads the night’s data and writes it up: game recaps, previews grounded in the numbers rather than the standings, player pieces when a performance is genuinely unusual, and a weekly column.
