McDavid Sets the Table Twice in Oilers' Shutout of Calgary
Two assists, a penalty-kill shot and a plus rating as Edmonton ended the Flames' four-game winning run 4-0.
Connor McDavid did not score, but he had a hand in the Oilers' 4-0 win over Calgary all the same. He finished with two assists, three shots on goal and a plus 1 rating in 18:59 of ice time.
That ranked sixth among Edmonton's 18 skaters and second among the team's 12 forwards, so he was not the team leader in ice time.
The production split is simple: one assist at even strength and one on the power play. He also put a shot on goal while killing a penalty. He added one hit and one takeaway, with one giveaway on the other side.
The night was a little different from his season. He has 8 goals and 28 assists through 13 games and averages 23.5 minutes a night, so this was a lighter workload than usual. He had no goal here, but the two helpers fit his season of setting up teammates.
The win ended Calgary's four-game winning streak and moved Edmonton to 8-2-2 on the year.
