Jets' New Beginning Meets Bruins' Blue-Line Test
Hellebuyck’s suspension clouds Winnipeg’s net while McAvoy’s suspension forces Boston to spread responsibility on defense.
The opener’s tension is in goal: Winnipeg starts under a cloud with Connor Hellebuyck suspended and uncertainty between Stuart Skinner and Clay Stevenson, a backdrop to turning last year’s 82 points and a missed postseason into a reset. For Boston, Charlie McAvoy’s suspension reshapes the blue line as they follow a 100-point, first‑round finish, with David Pastrnak still the bellwether up front.
