Toews Rings the Post, and Colorado Loses in Overtime

Colorado had the better of this one and still lost 3-2 in overtime. The Avalanche took 77 shot attempts to Nashville's 51, and their chances were worth 3.19 expected goals -- how many goals the chances should produce -- to 3.04 for the Predators. Devon Toews hit the post in overtime, the one miss the box score ignores, and Steven Stamkos won it on the power play about 35 seconds later.
