Malenstyn Peppers the Net, Finds Nothing on the Sheet
The Sabres forward went home empty-handed in a 2-0 win in San Jose, but not for lack of looks.

Beck Malenstyn left San Jose without a point, but the scoresheet hides how often he got to the net. In 13:19 of ice time, he put four shots on goal, all at even strength, and finished plus one as Buffalo won 2-0.
He also had three takeaways and three blocked shots. That is a busy night from a forward who has no goals and two assists through 12 games this season.
