Hutson Sets Up Two and Blocks Four as Canadiens Edge Penguins
The Montréal defenceman finished well in the black on a night the Canadiens held off Pittsburgh at home.
Lane Hutson had a busy, productive night in Montréal's 5-4 win over Pittsburgh: two assists, both at even strength, and a plus 4 rating over 23:47 of ice time.
That ice time ranked second among Canadiens skaters and second among their six defencemen. He took 25 shifts, fired one shot on goal on the power play, and added four blocked shots and a hit. He finished with no penalty minutes, no giveaways and no takeaways.
The plus 4 is striking in a one-goal game. It brings his season mark to plus 8 through 14 games.
The two helpers bring his season total to 13 points (three goals, ten assists). He averages 24.9 minutes a game this season, and he has 21 blocked shots in 14 games.
Hutson's night was a quiet but full one.
