Perfetti Fires Away but Finds No Twine in Winnipeg's Loss to Montréal
Jets drop a one-goal decision at home to the Canadiens while their shot-happy forward leaves the ice without a point
Cole Perfetti had a busy night with nothing on the scoresheet. He finished with no goals and no assists in a 2-1 loss to Montréal, taking five shots on goal and landing four hits over 24:01 of ice time.
That ice time ranked fourth among 18 Winnipeg skaters and third among the team's 12 forwards. He worked 22 shifts. At even strength he put four shots on goal from nine shot attempts, and he added one shot on the power play. He had one takeaway and three giveaways, and finished at plus/minus zero.
The five shots stand out against his season line: 33 shots and six goals through 11 games, with 19.1 minutes a night. This game came with more ice time than his season average and no goal to show for it.
The Jets are now 4-3-3, holding the third wild-card spot, and they have been scoring two or fewer goals lately. Perfetti was active, but the puck did not go in.
