Stars Outshot Nashville but Came Up Short
Dallas created the looks but couldn't finish; Saros stood tall as traffic to the net fell short
The Stars controlled play for large stretches but couldn’t convert enough chances. Dallas finished with 30 shots on goal and a 55.6% share of shot attempts while posting 3.02 expected goals, yet struggled to get bodies to the front. Wyatt Johnston and Mikko Rantanen generated notable chance-value without goals; the circulation produced chances, not scrambles in tight scoring areas, and Juuse Saros held firm for Nashville.
