Celebrini Logs Big Minutes, Finds No Room Against Calgary
The Sharks forward led all San Jose forwards in ice time, but the Flames left with a 2-1 win and he finished without a point.
Macklin Celebrini played 22:23 against the Flames, the most of any Sharks forward and second among all 18 San Jose skaters, and finished without a point in a 2-1 home loss.
He put two shots on goal, added two hits and one takeaway, and also gave the puck away once. He took no penalties across 22 shifts and finished minus one.
This was a quiet line for a forward who has 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) through 14 games this season. His ice time sat right at his season average of 22.6 minutes a game, so the minutes were typical even though the production was not.
San Jose is now 7-7-1 and still in the playoff race, holding the fourth wild-card spot. Celebrini did not add to his power-play numbers either, with no points in that split on the night.
