Pastrnak Hunts the Net in Boston's Shootout Escape Over Vegas
The Bruins forward set up a power-play goal but also gave the puck away often before Boston edged the Golden Knights at the finish.
David Pastrnak fired seven shots on goal and added one assist in 21:31 of ice time, but the night never gave him a goal. Boston still beat Vegas 3-2 in a game that went past regulation and ended in a shootout.
His ice time ranked fourth among the 18 Bruins skaters and third among the team's 12 forwards. It was not the team high.
The assist came on the power play. At even strength he had four shots on goal and no points. On the power play he had three shots on goal and the one helper. He finished at plus-minus zero, with two blocked shots and no hits.
The blemish was four giveaways. That is a lot for one night when he has 38 across 16 games this season.
The shot volume is normal for him. He has 57 shots and 8 goals on the year, so a seven-shot game with no goal is a miss, not a change in who he is. Boston moves to a record of 10-4-1 with the extra point.
