Perry Keeps Firing, but Kings Fall to Buffalo
The veteran-free story: a power-play goal in the second period was not enough as the Sabres took a 3-2 decision in Los Angeles.

Corey Perry pressed the Buffalo net all night: nine shots on goal and a power-play goal at 17:24 of the second, in 19:49 of ice time, sixth among Kings skaters. Los Angeles still lost 3-2, and Perry finished minus one. His goal was his first of the season's 11 games, with 19 shots on the year counting this one.
