Hutson Sets One Up and Eats Minutes as Montréal Wins in Dallas
The Canadiens defenceman picked up an assist at even strength and blocked a pair, while giving the puck away a few times in the 5-2 road win.
Lane Hutson finished with one assist in Montréal's 5-2 win over the Stars, and all of it came at even strength. The defenceman played 21:55 over 21 shifts, third among Canadiens skaters and third among their six defencemen.
He had one shot on goal and two blocked shots. The shot came on the power play, where he also had two shot attempts but no points. He finished even on the plus-minus line, with no hits and no penalty minutes.
The one blemish was three giveaways. That is a bit high for one night when his season total is 19 in 13 games.
This was a bit shy of his usual workload. He averages 25 minutes a game this season, and he has 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 13 games. One assist is in line with that pace, and the minutes were lower than normal.
The Canadiens are 7-3-2 and have now won three straight.
