Dostal Beaten Too Often as Ducks Let Vancouver Back In
Anaheim built a lead against the Canucks, then watched defensive breakdowns and a few softer goals undo it.
By MA Insights
Lukas Dostal had a hard night in the Anaheim crease. The Ducks built a lead against Vancouver, then could not keep it, and six goals got past him.
Some of that falls on the skaters in front of him. Breakdowns in coverage gave the Canucks traffic and dangerous looks. Still, the goals went in at a higher rate than the chances alone would suggest.
On the season, Dostal is 4-4 with an .870 save percentage, and that is the context for a tough night.
