Scheifele Gets His Looks, Jets Get Buried by Florida

Mark Scheifele played a full night in a 5-1 home loss to the Panthers and left the score sheet blank. No goals, no assists, and a minus one rating.

He logged 20:11 over 19 shifts, sixth among the 18 Jets skaters and second among Winnipeg's forwards. He put 3 shots on goal: 2 at even strength and 1 on the power play. He also had 1 hit and 1 blocked shot, took 2 penalty minutes, and gave the puck away once.

That quiet line fits a season in which the shots have not become points. Through 12 games he has 2 goals and 6 assists on 28 shots. His ice time tonight was close to his season average of 21.1 minutes.

He is not the only one cold. Winnipeg, now 4-4-3, still sits in the fifth wildcard spot, but this was another night where the finish never came.
