Perfetti Leaves Winnipeg Empty-Handed in 5-1 Home Loss to Florida
Jets' scoring drought reaches another game as the Panthers leave the barn with a lopsided win and Winnipeg's skid grows.
Cole Perfetti had a quiet night in a game that got away from the Jets. He finished with no points and an even plus/minus, and Winnipeg lost 5-1 at home to the Florida Panthers.
He played 16:07 over 16 shifts, eighth among the team's 18 skaters and third among Winnipeg's 12 forwards. He put three shots on goal, all at even strength, and added one hit, one blocked shot and one takeaway. He had no giveaways and took no penalties. On the power play he had one shot attempt and none on goal.
That is a bit below his season workload of 18.9 minutes a game. Three shots is a decent total for a night without a goal. He has six goals and three assists through 12 games, and he scored on 17.14% of his shots, so this was one more night when the puck did not go in.
The Jets are now 4-4-3, in the fifth wildcard spot, and have lost another game in which the goals were hard to find.
