Schmid Is Florida's Last Man Standing Between the Pipes

Akira Schmid has been handed the crease for a Panthers team on a two-game skid, and the season numbers say it's been a bumpy ride. He's stopped 128 of 147 shots across six games, with two wins, two regulation losses and one overtime loss. By goals saved above expected, which measures how his saves compare to what the chances should have allowed, he sits at -2.2.
