Perfetti Goes Quiet as Jets Fall to Dallas in Overtime
Winnipeg's two-game skid grows to three as the Stars win a one-goal decision at home.
Cole Perfetti had a quiet night in Dallas. The Jets forward finished with no points, an even plus/minus and two shots on goal in 19:00 of ice time, as Winnipeg lost 3-2 in overtime to the Stars.
His 19:00 ranked eighth among the 18 Winnipeg skaters and fourth among the team's 12 forwards. He was not the team leader in ice time. He played 20 shifts and added one hit. Neither of his shots came with a point attached: one at even strength and one on the power play. He took no penalties and had no takeaways or giveaways.
The night ran a little below his season pace. Through 10 games he has six goals and three assists, with 28 shots and two power-play goals. He averages 18.6 minutes, so this was slightly above his usual workload, but the scoresheet stayed blank.
The Jets are 4-3-2 and still in the playoff race. They took a point from this game but lost another one-goal decision.
