Blake Sets the Table in Carolina's Romp Past Vancouver
The Hurricanes bounce back from the Calgary loss with a 6-3 win on the road, and Blake's playmaking was all over it.
Jackson Blake didn't score in Vancouver, but he was involved in a lot of it. The Hurricanes forward finished with three assists and a plus-4 in a 6-3 win over the Canucks.
Blake played 20:30, third among Carolina's 18 skaters and first among the team's 12 forwards. He put five shots on goal and added one hit. He also had one giveaway.
The points came in different spots: two assists at even strength and one with the empty net in play. His two power-play shots on goal did not lead to a point there.
This was a bigger night than his season norm. He came in with one goal and 10 assists in 11 games and averaged 18.5 minutes a night, so three helpers in one game stands out. It also helped Carolina answer its 3-2 loss in Calgary and move to 8-2-1, while Vancouver fell to 2-8-1.
