Pionk Quietly Piles Up Assists on the Jets Blue Line
The Winnipeg defenceman has set up plenty of goals, but the Jets have been outchanced while he's on the ice.
By MA Insights
Neal Pionk has been a playmaker first for Winnipeg: one goal and five assists for six points, with 13 shots on net. He has played alongside Dylan Samberg.
The flip side is that the Jets have given up more good chances than they've created with him on the ice. He also has 14 giveaways to go with 12 blocked shots. His shots have been worth about 1.38 expected goals (how many goals his chances should produce), so he's scored a bit less than they suggest.
