Perfetti Peppers the Net, but Jets Fall in Overtime at Chicago
Winnipeg's forward goes pointless as the Blackhawks take a 4-3 extra-time decision at the United Center.
Cole Perfetti had a quiet night in a Winnipeg overtime loss. The forward finished without a point and a -1 rating, all of it at even strength, as the Jets fell 4-3 to Chicago.
He played 18:57 over 19 shifts, seventh among the team's 18 skaters and third among Winnipeg's 12 forwards. He put two shots on goal from eight shot attempts, blocked one shot and picked up one takeaway. No hits, no giveaways, no penalties.
That is a step down from his season. Through seven games he has five goals and eight points, with two power-play goals, and he carried 18.7 minutes a night. Here, he got the usual ice time and the shots, but nothing went in.
The point he left on the table stung: Winnipeg lost in overtime and left with a single standings point.
