NIKOLAJ EHLERS

Ehlers Provides a Power-Play Assist in Carolina's Overtime Win

One assist came with the man advantage as he chipped in during a 3-2 road victory in Philly

Nikolaj Ehlers set the tone on the scoresheet with a power-play assist in Carolina's 3-2 overtime win, his lone point coming with the man advantage. He skated 13:38 across 18 shifts, finishing 13th in team ice time among 18 skaters and 8th among 12 forwards in his position group. At even strength he was quiet offensively but still registered one shot on goal; his power-play work supplied the only point. He was credited with one giveaway and no hits or blocks. Through three games this season Ehlers has one point (an assist), seven shots, and a team on-ice expected-goals share of 72.7% while logging 17.4 minutes per game. This outing was a modest, playmaking contribution that helped Carolina leave Philadelphia with the extra point.
