Mammoth Tilt the Ice on Blackhawks

Keller feeds the attack and Guenther finishes, while Vejmelka blanks a Bedard-less Chicago.

Utah didn’t just win; the Mammoth carried the game in waves and spread the scoring across the lineup. The chances told the story: Utah’s looks added up to 4.39 expected goals to Chicago’s 1.74 — expected goals being how dangerous the chances were — and that edge showed up on the scoreboard.

With the puck going north all night, Clayton Keller drove entries and touches that turned into finishes. Dylan Guenther cashed two, while Michael Carcone, Anders Lee, Nick Schmaltz and Daniil But each added one. Utah’s power play layered on two more, and the faceoff edge kept them on the front foot.

On the back end, Karel Vejmelka made every stop (14-for-14) and added +1.74 goals saved above expected, the capstone to a night where Utah largely limited the quality against.
