ALEX TUCH

Tuch’s Two-Goal Night Gives Capitals a Clear Road Identity

A physical finish-and-score performance that turned a tight opener into a decisive win away from home

Alex Tuch carried Washington’s attack with two timely finishes, turning chances into a road-clinching margin and giving the Capitals an early taste of the secondary scoring they added in the offseason. He recorded 0.5 expected goals (how many his looks were worth) and fired 3 shots, finishing at a high clip to help Washington open 1-0-0. Tuch also posted a +2, logged 16.6 minutes on ice, and helped tilt high-danger chances in his team’s favor (3 for, 2 against).
