McDavid Sets the Table Again in Oilers' Home Win Over Canucks
Edmonton bounces back from the Anaheim loss with a 4-2 win while Vancouver's skid reaches five games.
Connor McDavid did not score, but he had a hand in three goals. He finished with three assists, a plus 1 and three shots on goal as the Oilers beat the Canucks 4-2 at home.
His 25:15 of ice time was the most of any Edmonton skater and the most of any Oilers forward, over 27 shifts. One of the assists came on the power play, one at even strength and one with the empty net in play. He also blocked a shot and gave the puck away once.
This fits his season. He has 47 points in 18 games, including 37 assists, and he played above his season average of 23.7 minutes. The goals have been the rarer part: 10 this year, on a 20.41 shooting percentage.
Edmonton moves to 12-3-3 after dropping the 5-4 game to Anaheim. Vancouver, now 3-15-1, has lost five straight.
