Hutson Picks Up a Power-Play Assist as Montréal Wins in Toronto
The Canadiens defenceman put two shots on net and blocked one in a 4-2 road win over the Maple Leafs.
Lane Hutson finished with one assist, and it came on the power play. He logged 22:55 across 27 shifts as Montréal beat Toronto 4-2 on the road.
His ice time was third among the team's 18 skaters and third among its six defencemen, so he was not the busiest man on the back end. At even strength he had no points, with two shots on goal from five shot attempts. He had no shots on the power play, but he set one up. He also blocked one shot, gave the puck away once and finished even in plus-minus.
It was a quieter night than some for him. He came in with 3 goals and 14 assists in 17 games and averaged 24.9 minutes, so he played about two minutes less than that average. One assist fits the pace of a season in which he has 5 power-play points.
The Canadiens (10-3-3) now have a win over a Toronto team that sits at 8-7-2.
