Kucherov Sets Up Three, but Lightning Fall in Nashville Shootout
Tampa Bay walks out of Music City with a point after a 5-4 shootout loss to the Predators.
Nikita Kucherov picked up three assists in 23:41 of ice time, but the Lightning lost 5-4 to the Predators in a shootout. He was plus 3, and all three points came at even strength.
His ice time ranked third among the 18 Tampa Bay skaters and second among the team's forwards. He took one shot on goal, which came on the power play, and added one hit, one block and one takeaway. He also gave the puck away twice.
He has 4 goals and 14 assists in 13 games this season, so this night made up a big share of his 18 points. He went without a power-play point, though he has 5 of them for the year.
The loss leaves Tampa Bay at 8-3-1 and still holding the first wild-card spot in the East.
