Josi Sets Up Two in Nashville's 5-2 Win Over St. Louis
The Predators defenceman logged the night's biggest workload and finished a plus-four, with one of his helpers coming shorthanded.
Roman Josi was on the ice more than any other Predators skater in Nashville's 5-2 win over the Blues, and the night ended with two assists and a plus-four rating.
His 24:36 of ice time was a team high among the 18 skaters and tops among Nashville's six defencemen, across 27 shifts. One assist came at even strength and the other came on the penalty kill, where he also fired his only shot on goal. He added two blocked shots, with no hits and one giveaway.
The two assists lift his season total to nine points (one goal, eight assists) in eight games, so a multi-point night fits the pattern: he has set up far more than he has scored. His 24:36 sat a little under his 25.6 minutes a game this season.
For Nashville, now 2-2-3 and holding the sixth wild-card spot, it was a regulation win after a run of extra-time finishes. Josi had a hand in it from the back end.
