Cole Hutson Logs a Quiet Shift Shift in Capitals' 4-2 Win Over Devils
The Washington defenceman put two shots on net and stayed off the scoresheet as the Capitals beat New Jersey at home.
Cole Hutson did not reach the scoresheet in Washington's 4-2 win over the Devils. The defenceman played 18:28 over 21 shifts, fourth among Capitals skaters and fourth among the team's six defencemen.
He put two shots on goal, all at even strength, and added two hits. He had one giveaway, no takeaways and no penalties, and finished even on the plus-minus.
That is close to his usual workload. He averages 18.5 minutes a game this season, and he now has one goal and three assists in eight games. Two shots is a normal night for him: he has 19 shots on the year.
The win came at home against a Devils team that, like Washington, came in 4-3-0. For Hutson it was a plain night: 18:28 of ice time, a couple of looks at the net and no points.
