Barbashev Sets the Table in Vegas Romp Over Calgary
The Golden Knights forward finished with three helpers and a plus-two in a 6-2 home win over the Flames.
Ivan Barbashev went without a goal but finished with three assists as Vegas beat Calgary 6-2 at home. He was plus-2 on the night.
He played 15:26 over 18 shifts. That ranked 10th among the 18 Golden Knights skaters and fifth among their 12 forwards, so it was neither a team-high night nor a short one.
Two of the assists came at even strength and one came on the power play. He also put four shots on goal (three at even strength, one on the power play) and added a hit. No penalties, no giveaways, no takeaways.
On the season he has seven points in nine games, all of them assists, with no goals on 14 shots. Still no goal, but the shots kept coming.
Vegas is 6-2-0, first in the Pacific Division, and Barbashev played a real part in the latest win.
