Teravainen Delivers Late Spark for Blackhawks
He finished Chicago’s biggest chances while Kantserov and Bertuzzi supplied the push that converted looks into goals.
Written during the game · 10:46 PM ET. Final was PIT 3, CHI 5.
Teuvo Teravainen finished the night as Chicago’s clutch finisher, scoring the opening goal and the go-ahead strike in the third while adding an assist. He posted 2 goals, 1 assist in 16:44 of ice time — his chances were worth expected goals for 0.33 (xG).
Chicago got the looks it needed from Roman Kantserov and Tyler Bertuzzi, but Teuvo Teravainen was the one who turned those looks into scoreboard results. His early opener and the third-period go-ahead made tangible what the rest of the night’s underlying numbers did not: real goals when the Blackhawks had to find them.
