Reilly Chips In as Canes Cruise in Chicago
Defenseman had a two-assist night and helped tilt chances his way in Carolina’s road win
Mike Reilly picked up two assists in Carolina's 5-2 road win. He logged 16:19 of ice time across 21 shifts, finished plus-2 with two shots, two hits and one blocked shot, and his two giveaways were the only negative on a tidy stat line.
At even strength he recorded both assists and all of his two shots and five shot attempts came at five-on-five. Among his teammates he ranked 7th in ice time overall and 6th among the club's defencemen. Through four games this season he has two assists and two points, and his season numbers show a similar profile tonight: modest deployment by the team’s rankings but direct offensive impact and strong on-ice chance metrics. Reilly’s contributions helped tilt high-danger chances and kept the Canes comfortably ahead on the scoreboard in a road victory.
