Cooley’s Night Lets Avalanche Pull Away

Calgary has fallen behind as Colorado pulled away.

Devin Cooley has allowed four goals and Calgary trails 1-4. He’s made 14 saves on 18 shots, with 4 goals against and a save percentage 0.778; his goals saved above expected -2.48 shows he’s given up more than expected and he still meets the game’s goalie bar. Shot attempts are nearly even (38-36) and shots on goal sit 18-17, so the score feels lopsided — Calgary will need to force cleaner looks and urgency the rest of the period.
